Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between an IV drip and an oral vitamin?
The vitamins in an IV drip immediately enter your bloodstream and are fully absorbed, whereas much of the valuable contents of an oral vitamin are lost in the gut before entering your bloodstream
How often can I receive IV vitamin therapy?
We recommend once per week. However, the nurse at the clinic will evaluate you and assist you on a case-by-case basis
What is the difference between an IV and an IM shot?
The IV drip is a vitamin bag (intravenous vitamins in normal saline) and is administered through a tiny catheter into the vein. The catheter is plastic, and at Siblante, we use butterfly catheters which minimize movement and are more comfortable for the client. The amount of time it takes for the IV to finish is about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the bag selected (500 mL or 1L options available). The intramuscular (IM) shot is administered as a shot into the muscle, and takes less than 5 minutes to do. The absorption of vitamins in the form of an IM shot is not as much as you would receive via the vein, but it is still much more than you would receive from an oral vitamin! We recommend the IM shots as a quick weekly boost
Which drip should I get?
Each IV has a different focus for wellness. A staff member can assist you over the phone or in-person to help achieve the goals you are trying to reach with IV therapy.

We only absorb 7-15% of vitamins in pill form, the absorption of vitamins through an IV is 100% and this is why clients can tell the difference as soon as it enters their bloodstream.
